qos tail-drop-profile (system view)

Function

The qos tail-drop-profile command creates a global tail drop profile and displays the tail drop profile view.

The undo qos tail-drop-profile command deletes a global tail drop profile.

By default, no global tail drop profile is created.

Only the S2720-EI, S5720I-SI, S5720-LI, S5735-L, S5735S-L, S5735S-L-M, S5720S-LI, S5720S-SI, S5720-SI, S5735-S, S5735S-S, S5735-S-I, S5730S-EI, S5730-SI, S6720-LI, S6720S-LI, S6720S-SI, and S6720-SI support this command.

profile-name

Specifies the name of a tail drop profile.

The value is a string of 1 to 16 case-insensitive characters, without spaces.

NOTE:
  • For the S5735-L, S5735S-L, S5735S-L-M, S5735-S, S5735-S-I, and S5735S-S, a maximum of one tail drop profile is allowed; otherwise, the system displays an error message.
  • For other models, a maximum of six tail drop profiles are allowed; otherwise, the system displays an error message.

Usage Guidelines

After running the qos tail-drop-profile command in the system view to create a tail drop profile, you can run the qos queue max-length or qos queue max-buffer command in the tail drop profile view to configure a queue. You can apply a global tail drop profile to a physical interface to drop packets at the end of a queue.
