The snmp-agent trap enable feature-name pim command enables the trap function for PIM events.

The undo snmp-agent trap enable feature-name pim command disables the trap function for PIM events.

By default, the trap function for PIM events is disabled.

Format

snmp-agent trap enable feature-name pim [ trap-name { neighbor-loss | invalid-join-prune | rp-mapping-change | interface-election | invalid-register | new-neighbor | mrt-limit | hwpimmrtlimitclear | hwpimsgexceed | hwpimsgexceedclear | hwpimsgthresholdexceed | hwpimsgthresholdexceedclear | hwpimstargexceed | hwpimstargexceedclear | hwpimstargthresholdexceed | hwpimstargthresholdexceedclear } ]

undo snmp-agent trap enable feature-name pim [ trap-name { neighbor-loss | invalid-join-prune | rp-mapping-change | interface-election | invalid-register | new-neighbor | mrt-limit | hwpimmrtlimitclear | hwpimsgexceed | hwpimsgexceedclear | hwpimsgthresholdexceed | hwpimsgthresholdexceedclear | hwpimstargexceed | hwpimstargexceedclear | hwpimstargthresholdexceed | hwpimstargthresholdexceedclear } ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
trap-name Enables the trap for a specified type of PIM event. -
neighbor-loss Enables the trap for the PIM neighbor loss event. -
invalid-join-prune Enables the trap for the event indicating that an invalid Join/Prune message is received. -
rp-mapping-change Enables the trap for the PIM RP-mapping change event. -
interface-election Enables the trap for the event indicating that a PIM interface is elected as the DR. -
invalid-register Enables the trap for the event indicating that an invalid Register message is received. -
new-neighbor Enables the trap for the event indicating that a new PIM neighbor appears. -
mrt-limit Enables the trap for the event indicating that the number of PIM entries exceeds the limit. -
hwpimmrtlimitclear Enables the trap for the event indicating that the total number of PIM entries falls below the limit. -
hwpimsgexceed Enables the trap for the event indicating that the number of PIM (S, G) entries created exceeds the maximum number of PIM (S, G) entries allowed. -
hwpimsgexceedclear Enables the trap for the event indicating that the number of PIM (S, G) entries created falls below the maximum number of PIM (S, G) entries allowed. -
hwpimsgthresholdexceed Enables the trap for the event indicating that the proportion of PIM (S, G) entries created to the maximum PIM (S, G) entries allowed exceeds the upper alarm threshold. -
hwpimsgthresholdexceedclear Enables the trap for the event indicating that the proportion of PIM (S, G) entries created to the maximum PIM (S, G) entries allowed falls below the lower alarm threshold. -
hwpimstargexceed Enables the trap for the event indicating that the number of PIM (*, G) entries created exceeds the maximum number of PIM (*, G) entries allowed. -
hwpimstargexceedclear Enables the trap for the event indicating that the number of PIM (*, G) entries created falls below the maximum number of PIM (*, G) entries allowed. -
hwpimstargthresholdexceed Enables the trap for the event indicating that the proportion of PIM (*, G) entries created to the maximum PIM (*, G) entries allowed exceeds the upper alarm threshold. -
hwpimstargthresholdexceedclear Enables the trap for the event indicating that the proportion of PIM (*, G) entries created to the maximum PIM (*, G) entries allowed falls below the lower alarm threshold. -

Usage Guidelines

To enable the trap function for a specific type of event, specify trap-name. To enable the trap function for multiple types of events, run this command multiple times.

Example

# Enable the trap for the PIM neighbor loss event in the system view.

<HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] snmp-agent trap enable feature-name pim trap-name neighbor-loss

# Disable the trap for the PIM neighbor loss event in the system view.

<HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] undo snmp-agent trap enable feature-name pim trap-name neighbor-loss
