Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

You can run the stp enable command to prevent or eliminate loops on a complex Layer 2 network. STP on the AP's wired interfaces takes effect only when the AP forms a single loop with wired devices. Wireless links (such as WDS or Mesh links) only transparently forward STP packets. An STP-enabled AP does not forward STP packets to the wireless side. STP takes effect only on the AP's wired side.

Precautions

The AP wired interfaces added to an Eth-Trunk do not support STP.

Example

# Enable STP on the AP's wired interface GE0.
