Impact on the System

This alarm may lead to interruption of user services.

Possible Causes

The source MAC address carried in the ARP packets received by an interface is the same as the interface's MAC address.

Procedure

1.Check whether a device with the same MAC address exists on the network according to the alarm information.

  • If such a device exists, perform Step 2.
  • If such a device does not exist, perform Step 4.

2.According to network planning and service deployment, check whether the MAC configurations can be adjusted.

  • If the MAC configurations can be adjusted, go to Step 3.
  • If the MAC configurations cannot be adjusted, go to Step 4.

3.Adjust the MAC configurations of the related interface and check whether the alarm persists.

  • If so, go to Step 4.
  • If no, go to Step 5.

4.Collect alarm and configuration information, and contact technical support engineers.

5.End.
