Impact on the System

Services will not be affected

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The slot where no board is installed was not inserted with a filler panel.

Cause 2: The air filter was blocked.

Cause 3: The environmental temperature was too high.

Cause 4: The fan was faulty.

Cause 5: The temperature of the chip was too high.

Procedure

1. Run the display temperature slot slot-id command in the user view to view the temperature of each board.

2. Check whether a filler panel is inserted in the slot where no board is installed.

  • If so, go to Step 4.
  • If not, go to Step 3.

3. Insert filler panel in the slots where no board is installed and check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If so, go to Step 9.
  • If not, go to Step 3.

4. Check whether the fan is faulty.

  • If so, go to Step 11.
  • If not, go to Step 5.

5. Replace the fan and check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If so, go to Step 11.
  • If no, go to Step 6.

6. Check whether the air filter is blocked.

  • If so, go to Step 11.
  • If not, go to Step 7.

7. Clean the air filter and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If so, go to Step 11.
  • If not, go to Step 8.

8. Check whether the environmental temperature is too high.

  • If so, go to Step 9.

9. If the environmental temperature is normal, the temperature of the chip must be too high. In such a case, no action is required. Then, go to Step 10.

10.Adjust the environmental temperature and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If so, go to Step 11.
  • If not, go to Step 10.

10. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support.

11. End.
