Impact on the System

The interface will fail to receive services.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The SDH path connected to the interface failed to receive packets properly. For example, an hwLosAlarm, hwLofAlarm, hwLaisAlarm, hwAuLopAlarm, hwAuAisAlarm alarm was generated.

Cause 2: The SDH path received a large amount of error codes and a hwB1TcaAlarm, hwB2TcaAlarm or hwB3TcaAlarm alarm was generated.

Cause 3: The physical-layer processing chip on a subcard failed to function properly

Procedure

1. Check and clear an hwLosAlarm, hwLofAlarm, hwLaisAlarm, hwAuLopAlarm, hwAuAisAlarm alarm generated for the SDH path connecting the upstream device and the interface. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm is cleared, go to End.
  • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 2.

2. Check and clear a hwB1TcaAlarm, hwB2TcaAlarm or hwB3TcaAlarm alarm for the local device. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm is cleared, go to End.
  • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 3.

3. Collect alarm information, log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
