Impact on the System

The power module failure will result in insufficient power supply for the router, causing boards to reset and therefore interrupting services. Clearing this trap is required.

Possible Causes

The power type does not match the type of the backplane.

Procedure

1. Check whether the power module and backplane types match. If they do not match, replace the power module with one matching the backplane type and then check whether the trap is cleared.

If the trap is cleared, go to Step 3.
If the trap persists, go to Step 2.

2. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
