Trap Buffer Description

In an EVPN E-Tree dual-homing scenario, the leaf attributes of the AC interfaces bound to the EVPN instance were different, causing a traffic loop. (EVPNInstanceName = [EVPNInstanceName], IfName = [IfName])

In an EVPN E-Tree scenario where a CE is dual-homed to PEs, the leaf attributes of the PEs' AC interfaces bound to the EVPN instance were different, causing a traffic loop.

Possible Causes

A configuration error occurred.

The leaf attribute was set for one AC interface, whereas the root attribute was set for the other AC interface.

Procedure

1. Check whether the evpn e-tree-leaf command is run on both AC interfaces of the dual-homing PEs.

If the command is run on both AC interfaces, go to 2.
If the command is not run on both AC interfaces, run the evpn e-tree-leaf or undo evpn e-tree-leaf command to ensure that the AC interfaces on the dual-homing PEs have the same root or leaf attribute.

2. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
