Trap Buffer Description

Because the license was not activated for the physical interface, the service of the corresponding interface or sub-interface is invalid. To continue using these interfaces, please activate the physical interface license as soon as possible. (ItemName=[hwItemName], InterfaceName=[hwPhysicalIfName], ServiceDesc=[hwServiceDesc])

The alarm is generated when the license was not activated for the physical interface and the service of the corresponding interface or sub-interface was configured.

In VS mode, this trap is supported only by the admin VS.

Impact on the System

The configured service becomes unavailable.

Possible Causes

The license was not activated for the physical interface that had a service configured.

Procedure

1.Run the display license command to check whether a license file exists on the device.

  • If no license information is displayed under the Description field, no license file exists. In this situation, go to Step 3.
  • If license information is displayed under the Description field, a license file exists. In this situation, go to Step 2.

2.Run the display alarm active command to check whether a license expiry alarm hwGtlDefaultValue exists on the device.

  • If a license expiry alarm exists, the license expires. In this situation, go to Step 3.
  • If no license expiry alarm exists, go to Step 6.

3.Re-apply for or purchase a new license file from Huawei.

4.Run the license active command in the user view to activate the license file.

5.Run the display alarm active command to check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 7.
  • If the alarm persists, go to Step 6.

6.Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.

7. End.
