MPLS_LSPM_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.121.2.1.18 hwMplsOamLoss

Trap Buffer Description

The tunnel receives a consecutive packet loss alarm. (SessionTunnelId=[SessionTunnelId], LocalLspId=[LocalLspId], IngressLsrId=[IngressLsrId], EgressLsrId=[EgressLsrId], IfIndex=[IfIndex], TunnelName=[TunnelName], SignalingProtocol=[SgnlPrtcl], IfName=[IfName], SignalledTunnelName=[SignalledTunnelName])

Packets were continuously lost in an MPLS tunnel.

Impact on the System

The MPLS tunnel generating this alarm fails to forward traffic, interrupting services.

Possible Causes

  • Cause 1: The local end is enabled to receive CC messages, but the peer end is not enabled to send CC messages.
  • Cause 2: An interface connected to the MPLS tunnel is shut down so that no CC message can be transmitted.
  • Cause 3: The MPLS tunnel is congested so that no CC message can be transmitted.
  • Cause 4: The MPLS tunnel is deteriorated so that no CC message can be transmitted.

Procedure

1. Run the display mpls-tp oam meg meg-name command to check whether the CC function is correctly configured on the ingress and egress MEGs.

  • If so, go to Step 3.
  • If not, go to Step 2.

2. Reconfigure the CC function on the ingress and egress MEGs.

  • Then check whether MPLS_LSPM_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.121.2.1.19 hwMplsOamLossRecovery is reported.
  • If so, go to Step 7.
  • If not, go to Step 3.

3. Run the display interface command to check whether any physical interface connected to the MPLS tunnel is shut down.

  • If so, go to Step 4.
  • If not, go to Step 5.

4. Run the undo shutdown command to enable the physical interface. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If so, go to Step 7.
  • If not, go to Step 5.

5. If all configurations are correct, the MPLS tunnel is deteriorated. Then go to Step 6.

6. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

7. End.
