Impact on the System

If a protection group is configured correctly, the alarm triggers a primary/backup LSP switchover.

Possible Causes

An MPLS tunnel is faulty. The egress sends a BDI notification to the ingress.

Procedure

1. Run the display interface command to check whether any physical interface connected to the MPLS tunnel is shut down.

  • If so, go to Step 2.
  • If not, go to Step 3.

2. Run the undo shutdown command to enable the physical interface. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If so, go to Step 5.
  • If not, go to Step 4.

3. If all configurations are correct, the MPLS tunnel is faulty. Then go to Step 4.

4. Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration information, and then Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel..

5. End.
