Impact on the System

The clock source may be switched.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The timeout status of Announce packets for adaptive clock/time synchronization changed.

Cause 2: The timeout status of the adaptive clock/time synchronization sync packet or followup packet changed.

Cause 3: The adaptive clock or time synchronization resp packet timed out.

Cause 4: The adaptive clock or time synchronization status changed from unusable to unusable.

Procedure

1. Run the display ptp-adaptive server command to check whether the PTSF status on the local client is the same as that on the remote server.

If yes, go to Step 5.

If not, go to Step 2.

2. Run the display current-configuration command to check whether the clock configuration of the client is changed.

If yes, go to Step 3.

If no, go to Step 4.

3. Reconfigure the remote server. For details, see System Management > 1588v2 Configuration in the configuration manual.

4. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support.
