Impact on the System

The optimal time source may be switched.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The attributes of the time source, optimal source, and local time source change. As a result, the port status changes.

Cause 2: The link was faulty, causing the port status to change.

Cause 3: The device was restarted, causing the interface status to change.

Procedure

1. Run the display interface brief command to check whether the interface is Down.

If yes, the link is faulty. In this case, go to step 5.

If no, go to Step 2.

2. Run the display this interface and display ptp-adaptive vport commands to check whether the command for changing the clock attribute of the port is configured.

If yes, the clock attribute changes. In this case, go to step 5.

If not, go to step 3.

3. Run the display board-reset all command in the diagnostic view to check the last MPU restart time and collect alarm information.

If the fault occurs after the device is restarted, the port status changes due to the device restart. In this case, go to Step 5.

If not, go to Step 4.

4. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support personnel.

5. End.
