TUNNEL-TE_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.12.7.1.4.3 hwMplsApsMismatch

Trap Buffer Description

The protection group detected an APS configuration inconsistency betweeen two ends of the APS tunnel. (WorkTunnelIfIndex=[WorkTunnelIfIndex], WorkTunnel=[WorkTunnel], MismatchReason=[MismatchReason])

APS information on the local end of a bidirectional tunnel was inconsistent with that on the remote end.

Impact on the System

If an alarm about APS information inconsistency is displayed, traffic information on both ends of a bidirectional tunnel becomes inconsistent, resulting in traffic interruption.

The alarm types are as follows:

  • Channel inconsistency
  • Bridge inconsistency
  • Switching inconsistency
  • Operation inconsistency.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: APS is configured on one end but not on the other end of a tunnel, an alarm about channel inconsistency is sent to the NMS. Cause 2: If the 1+1 APS tunnel protection group is configured on one end and the 1:1 APS tunnel protection group is configured on the other end, an alarm about bridge inconsistency is sent to the NMS. Cause 3: If bidirectional APS is enabled on one end and unidirectional APS is enabled on the other end, an alarm about switching inconsistency is sent to the NMS. Cause 4: If retrieve APS is enabled on one end and non-retrieve APS is enabled on the other end, an alarm about operation inconsistency is sent to the NMS.

Procedure

1. Check whether an alarm about channel inconsistency is displayed.

  • If such an alarm is displayed, go to Step 2.
  • If the alarm is not about channel inconsistency, go to Step 3.

2. Run the mpls te aps-version G8131 command to enable APS. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 8.
  • If the alarm persists, go to Step 7.

3. Check whether an alarm about switching inconsistency is displayed.

  • If such an alarm is displayed, go to Step 4.
  • If the alarm is not about switching inconsistency, go to Step 5.

4. Configure a bidirectional tunnel. For the configuration procedure. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 8.
  • If the alarm persists, go to Step 7.

5. Check whether an alarm about operation inconsistency is displayed.

  • If such an alarm is displayed, go to Step 6.
  • If the alarm is not about operation inconsistency, go to Step 7.

6. Modify the switchback mode and ensure that the switchback modes on both ends of the tunnel are the same. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 8.
  • If the alarm persists, go to Step 7.

7. Collect the alarm information, log information, and configuration information, and then Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel..

8. End.
