Impact on the System

Some MAC addresses will get lost, and traffic will be interrupted.

Possible Causes

The number of MAC addresses on the VSTM exceeded the maximum value

Procedure

1. Check the MAC address entries and check whether the MAC entries need to be used.

  • If all MAC address entries need to be used, go to Step 3.
  • If some MAC address entries do not need to be used and the service is not affected, go to Step 2.

2. Delete these redundant MAC addresses and check whether the total number of MAC addresses decreases.

  • If the number of MAC entries decreases and a clear alarm is generated, go to Step 3.
  • If the number of MAC address entries does not change, go to Step 4.

3. Collect alarm and configuration information and contact Huawei technical support engineers.

4. End.
