In VS mode, this trap is supported only by the admin VS.

This alarm is supported only on NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Impact on the System

If the fault persists, the IP addresses in the address pool in the domain may be exhausted. As a result, new users cannot go online due to failure in obtaining IP addresses.

Possible Causes

The number of IP addresses used by the users in the domain reached the upper threshold.

Procedure

1.In any view, run the display domain domain-name command to view the value of ip-warning-threshold configured for the domain.

If the value of ip-warning-threshold ranges from 1 (included) to 100 (excluded), go to Step 2.
If the value of ip-warning-threshold is null or 100, go to Step 4.

2.Check whether the number of online users planned in the current networking, who use the IP addresses in the local address pool of the domain, reaches the maximum limit.

If so, go to Step 5.
If not, go to Step 3.

3.Associate the domain to more address pools or configure new users to go online from other domains. Check whether the alarm is still generated after 30 minutes.

If so, go to Step 5.
If not, go to Step 4.

4.Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration information, and contact technical personnel.
