Impact on the System

CRC errors cause packet loss, affecting services.

Possible Causes

Link faults occurred, causing the CRC error packet ratio to exceed an upper limit.

Procedure

1. Check whether the optical fiber is properly connected. The optical fiber has card fasteners. If you hear a click sound, the optical fiber is properly connected. Then, run the display this interface command to check whether the interface is Up.

  • If so, go to Step 2.
  • If not, go to Step 5.

2. Run the display this interface command in the interface view to check whether the receive optical power of the optical module is in the normal range.

  • If so, go to Step 3.
  • If not, go to Step 5.

3. Run the display this interface command in the interface view to check whether the two ends have the same configurations for the link negotiation mode, clock mode, and scramble mode.

  • If so, go to Step 5.
  • If not, go to Step 4.

4. Modify the configurations so that the two ends have the same link negotiation mode, clock mode, and scramble mode. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If so, go to Step 6.
  • If not, go to Step 5.

5. Collect alarm information, log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

6. End.
