DHCPSNP_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.112.2.1 hwDhcpSnpChaddrAlarm

Trap Buffer Description

The number of the discarded DHCP packets in which the CHADDR field is inconsistent with the source MAC address exceeded the threshold on the interface. (IfIndex=[IfIndex], VlanIndex=[VlanIndex], VsiIndex=[VsiIndex], Interface=[IfName], VlanID=[VlanId], DiscardedNumber=[DiscardPktAccount])

The number of discarded DHCP packets in which source MAC addresses in the CHADDR fields do not match those in frame headers exceeded the configured threshold.

Impact on the System

This alarm has no adverse impacts on the system, because attack DHCP packets with incorrect CHADDR fields are discarded.

Possible Causes

The number of discarded DHCP packets in which source MAC addresses in the CHADDR fields do not match those in frame headers exceeded the configured threshold.

Procedure

1.Check whether the configured threshold for the number of discarded DHCP packets in which source MAC addresses in the CHADDR fields do not match those in frame headers is proper and whether the device is attacked, so that you can determine whether to adjust the alarm threshold.

2.Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
