Trap Buffer Description

The number of the protocol transmit on the port reach the drop threshold.(IfName=[ifname], ProtocolName=[protocolname], DropThreshold=[dropthreshold])

The number of protocol packets that were transparently transmitted at Layer 2 reached the drop threshold.

In VS mode, this trap is supported only by the admin VS.

Impact on the System

Packets are discarded, and the interface stops processing protocol packets transparently transmitted at Layer 2.

Possible Causes

The number of the protocol transmit on the port reach the drop threshold.

Procedure

1. Run the l2protocol-tunnel drop-threshold number all command to increase the maximum number of drop threshold. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 3.
If the alarm persists, go to Step 2.

2.Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
