Impact on the System

LSP flapping or a route calculation error may occur.

Possible Causes

A new LSP generated by another device is received, and the Remaining Lifetime value of the LSP is not 0 and less than 60 seconds.

Procedure

1. Run the display isis lsdb command to check the Holdtime field. This field indicates the value of Remaining Lifetime. Check whether the value is less than 60s.

a. Check whether the Remaining Lifetime of the LSP is less than 60s when the neighbor sent it.

b. Check whether the LSP is an attack packet.

c. Check whether the Remaining Lifetime was changed manually.

  • If the Remaining Lifetime of the LSP is less than 60s, check whether it was changed manually.
  • If the Remaining Lifetime was changed manually, no action is required, and go to Step 3.
  • If the Remaining Lifetime was not changed manually, go to Step 2.
  • If the Remaining Lifetime of the LSP is not less than 60s, go to Step 2.

2. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

3. End.
