Trap Buffer Description

The number of routes imported to the IS-IS process reached or exceeded the maximum value. (SysInstance=[hwisisSysInstance], MaximumValue=[hwisisImportRouteMax])

The number of routes imported by the IS-IS process reached the maximum number of routes that can be advertised by the IS-IS process. The maximum number of routes that can be advertised by an IS-IS process is determined by the maximum length of LSPs generated by IS-IS and the number of IS-IS virtual systems.

Impact on the System

New routes cannot be imported.

Possible Causes

The number of imported routes reached the maximum number of routes that can be advertised in the process.

Procedure

1. Run the virtual-system command in the IS-IS view to create a virtual system and increase the maximum number of routes that can be advertised by the process. If the fault persists, go to Step 2.

2. Run the lsp-length originate command in the IS-IS view to increase the maximum length of the LSP generated by the IS-IS process. In this manner, the maximum number of routes that can be advertised by the IS-IS process is increased. The length of LSPs must be less than the MTU on an IS-IS interface; otherwise, the interface fails to send the LSPs.If the fault persists, go to Step 3.

3. Reduce the number of imported routes. If the fault persists, go to Step 4.

4. Contact technical support engineers.

5. End.
