The mac address learned by the board is beyond the threshold of the global mac limit rule. (EntPhysicalIndex=[hwEntPhysicalIndex], PhysicalName=[hwPhyscialName], RuleName=[rule_name], LearnNumber=[learn_number], LimitNumber=[limit_number])
A global MAC address learning limit rule is configured on the board. An alarm is generated when the number of MAC addresses learned on the board exceeds the alarm threshold specified in the rule.
In VS mode, this trap is supported only by the admin VS.

1. If a user configures the action to be taken is Discard, packets will be discarded when the number of MAC addresses learned exceeds the limit. For example, when the user runs the mac-limit rule-nameaaa maximum 10 rate 10 action discard command, a maximum of 10 MAC addresses can be learned. In this case, excess packets will be discarded.
2. If the user configures the action to be taken is Forward, packets will be forwarded when the number of MAC addresses learned exceeds the limit. For example, when the user runs the mac-limit rule-name aaa maximum10 rate 10 action forward command, a maximum of 10 MAC addresses can be learned. In this case, excess packets will be forwarded.
1.This trap message is informational only. Go to step 2 if you need to clear the trap.
2.Perform either of the following configurations: Run the undo mac-address command in the system view to delete useless MAC address entries. Run the mac-limit rule-name maximum command in the system view to configure the maximum number of MAC addresses learned by the global MAC address limit rule. Then, check whether the trap is cleared.
3.Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
4.End.
