Possible Causes

The upstream P device detected a failure at the physical layer, for example, a fiber cut.

Procedure

1. Check that no fault (for example, optical fiber disconnect) occurs at the physical layer of each upstream node.

  • If such a fault does not exist, go to Step 3.
  • If such a fault exists, go to Step 2.

2. Rectify the fault on the physical layer of the upstream node by replacing the faulty component. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 4.
  • If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.

3. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

4. End.
