Trap Buffer Description

A packet is received on the non-virtual interface from a router whose configuration conflicts with the local configuration. (RouterId=[RouterId], IfIndex=[IfIndex], IfInstId=[IfInstId], IfState=[IfState], PacketSrc=[PacketSrc], ConfigErrorType=[ConfigErrorType], PacketType=[PacketType])

A packet received from the non-virtual interface of an OSPFv3 router indicates that the configurations on the interface conflicted with that on the local non-virtual interface. The possible cause is that the hello, dead, or poll timer on one interface was inconsistent with that on the other one, or the two interfaces were not configured on one area.

Impact on the System

This trap message is generated after an interface receives a message indicating that parameters are incorrectly configured. Such configuration errors generally occur during the deployment test or service cutover. You can adjust the parameters correctly to rectify the fault, and services will not be affected.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: Parameters configured on the two ends were inconsistent. Cause 2: The link-layer protocol changed.

Procedure

1. Run the display ospfv3 interface command to check whether the configurations on both ends are consistent.

If they are the same, go to Step 3.
If they are inconsistent, go to Step 2.

2. Perform the following operations based on the networking.

If the configurations on both ends can be changed to be the same, change the hello, dead, and poll timer parameters on both ends to be the same according to the CLI Configuration Guide - IP Routing. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.
If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 4.
If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.
If the configurations on both ends cannot be changed to be the same, go to Step 3.

3. Collect log and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
