mpls bfd enable

Function

The mpls bfd enable command enables an ingress to dynamically create BFD sessions for monitoring LDP LSPs.

The undo mpls bfd enable command disables an ingress from dynamically creating BFD sessions.

By default, an ingress cannot dynamically create BFD sessions for monitoring LDP LSPs.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Before the ingress and egress establish a BFD session to monitor an LSP, dynamic BFD for LDP LSP must be enabled on the ingress and egress using the mpls bfd enable command.

Prerequisites

BFD has been enabled in the system view.

Follow-up Procedure

Run the mpls-passive command on the egress.
