The path-type bypass command enables Echo Request packets to be transmitted through the bypass LSP.
The undo path-type command restores the default setting.
By default, Echo Request packets are not sent through the bypass LSP.
Usage Scenario
In an LSP ping test, service traffic is transmitted through the primary LSP on an IP network configured with SR-MPLS BE LSPs in normal situations. If the primary LSP is faulty, service traffic is switched to the bypass LSP before route convergence. However, the existing detection mechanism does not cover the forwarding entries of a bypass LSP. As a result, the system fails to switch traffic to the bypass LSP after the primary LSP becomes faulty, causing service interruptions. To resolve this problem, you can run the path-type bypass command to enable Echo Request packets to be transmitted through the bypass LSP.
