The ipmsi-to-spmsi switch immediately command enables immediate switching from an I-PMSI tunnel to an S-PMSI tunnel.
The undo ipmsi-to-spmsi switch immediately command disables immediate switching from an I-PMSI tunnel to an S-PMSI tunnel.
By default, immediate switching from an I-PMSI tunnel to an S-PMSI tunnel is disabled.
Usage Scenario
If immediate switching from an I-PMSI tunnel to an S-PMSI tunnel is enabled in the MVPN view, an S-PMSI tunnel is created when the sender PE generates an SG entry with the outbound interface being an MTI, and a switchover from the I-PMSI tunnel to the S-PMSI tunnel is triggered immediately. After immediate switching from an I-PMSI tunnel to an S-PMSI tunnel is configured, traffic of (S, G) entries can be carried on the S-PMSI tunnel faster than before, reducing multicast traffic waste.
Follow-up Procedure
Configure a PMSI tunnel policy.
Precautions
After the ipmsi-to-spmsi switch immediately command is run, the switchover threshold configured in the SPMSI tunnel view does not take effect.
