Function

The reset dhcpv6 snooping bind-table command deletes entries from the DHCPv6 snooping dynamic binding table.

Format

reset dhcpv6 snooping bind-table { interface { interface-type interface-num | interface-name } | ipv6-address ipv6Address | ipv6-prefix ipv6-prefix-mask | mac-address macAddress } [ release ]

reset dhcpv6 snooping bind-table [ release ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
interface interface-type interface-num

Specifies the type and number of an interface.

ipv6-address ipv6Address

Specifies the IPv6 address of a user.

The value is a 32-digit hexadecimal number in the format of X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X.

ipv6-prefix ipv6-prefix-mask

Specifies the IPv6 prefix address and IPv6 prefix length.

IPv6 prefix address: The value is a 32-bit hexadecimal number in the format of X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X.

IPv6 prefix length: The value is an integer that ranges from 16 to 128.

mac-address macAddress

Specifies the MAC address of a user.

The value is a 12-digit hexadecimal number, in the format of H-H-H. Each H is 4 digits.

release

Enables the device to send Release packets to the DHCPv6 server.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When users go offline or users need to delete entries in the dynamic binding table in batches, you can run this command to manually delete user information.

Precautions

Before running this command, check whether the dynamic binding entries of the users need to be deleted. If the users are forcibly deleted, the users corresponding to the IPv6 addresses in the binding table are disconnected.

# Delete the dynamic binding table on GE0/1/0.
<HUAWEI> reset dhcpv6 snooping bind-table interface GigabitEthernet 0/1/0
# Delete the dynamic binding table on GE0/1/0 and send DHCPv6 Release messages to the DHCPv6 server.
<HUAWEI> reset dhcpv6 snooping bind-table interface GigabitEthernet 0/1/0 release
