lacp dampening state-flapping

Function

The lacp dampening state-flapping command enables the state flapping suppression function on an Eth-Trunk interface in LACP mode.

The undo lacp dampening state-flapping command restores the default state flapping suppression configuration on an Eth-Trunk interface in LACP mode.

By default, the state flapping suppression function is disabled on an Eth-Trunk interface in LACP mode.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If the state of an Eth-Trunk interface frequently flaps, the LACP protocol status of the Eth-Trunk interface also flaps, affecting the Eth-Trunk interface operations. To resolve this problem, run the lacp dampening state-flapping command on the Eth-Trunk interface in LACP mode to enable the state flapping suppression function. When the first flapping occurs, the state machine changes after 1s. When the second flapping occurs, the state machine changes after 3s. From the third flapping, the state machine changes after 5s.

Prerequisites

An Eth-Trunk interface has been configured to work in LACP mode using the mode lacp-static command.

Example

# Enable the state flapping suppression function on Eth-Trunk 1.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] interface eth-trunk 1
[*HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk1] mode lacp-static
[*HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk1] lacp dampening state-flapping
