Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

On a traditional transport network, a circuit usually spans multiple switching devices. If a device or a link on this circuit becomes faulty, an alarm suppression message is generated immediately and protection switching is triggered. The AIS function can be used to suppress alarms on an MPLS-TP network. To enable the AIS function, run the mpls-tp ais enable command.

Prerequisites

The ME of the MEG has been bound to a tunnel.

Example

# Enable the AIS function globally.
