The set tpm password command sets a password for the trusted platform module (TPM).
The preset password of tpm is a random value.
Usage Scenario
To improve security, run the set tpm password command to change the TPM password.
Implementation Procedure
The set tpm password command checks whether a password has been set by the user. If a password has been set, the user is required to enter the password for verification. This command can be executed only after the verification succeeds. When setting the password, you need to enter the new password twice. Only when the two passwords you enter are the same, you can proceed to the next step. If the device needs to be rolled back to a version that does not support the TPM password configuration, you must run the set tpm password command to restore the TPM password to Changeme123 before performing the version rollback.
Precautions
The new password set using the set tpm password command contains 8 to 32 characters and must contain at least two types of the following characters: lowercase letters, uppercase letters, digits, and special characters.
