Function

The user-name minimum-length command configures the minimum length of a local user name.

The undo user-name minimum-length command restores the default setting.

By default, the minimum length of a local user name is 1.

Usage Scenario

To prevent accounts from being stolen and configure a minimum length for a local user name, run the user-name minimum-length command.

Configuration Impact

After the user-name minimum-length command is run, the newly created local user names must comply with the command configuration. Otherwise, the user accounts cannot be created. The user-name minimum-length command does not apply to the existing users.
