The access gateway unnumbered command enables gateway unnumbered on a loopback interface.
The undo access gateway unnumbered command restores the default configuration.
By default, gateway unnumbered is disabled on a loopback interface.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Usage Scenario
Generally, a RADIUS server delivers IP addresses in the domain address pool to common DHCP Layer 2 users. If the delivered IP addresses are not in the domain address pool, users cannot go online. To enable common DHCP Layer 2 users to go online with IP addresses delivered by the RADIUS server but not in the domain address pool, run the access gateway unnumbered command to enable gateway unnumbered on a loopback interface.
Configuration Impact
Common DHCP Layer 2 users can go online with IP addresses delivered by the RADIUS server even if these IP addresses are not in the domain address pool.
Precautions
In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
