The license active command activates the license files of the IPU.
By default, the license file is not activated.
Usage Scenario
When the current license file on a device expires or feature speculations of a device need to be expanded, you can run the license active command to change and activate the license file.
In the port expansion scenario, the device cannot activate the license for the AP through the master. You need to run the upgrade download-package command to upload the license file from the master to the AP, and then run the license active command on the AP to activate the license file.
Prerequisites
Uploading the new license file to the IPU.
Configuration Impact
license active command is run, the system prompts you to confirm whether to upgrade the license file. If you choose "No", the system does not perform the upgrade operation; if you choose "Yes", the system activates the license file and performs the upgrade operation.
If the configuration items of the new license file are lower than those of the current license file, check whether the configuration items required by services exist in the new license file. If not, apply for a correct license file and activate it. Otherwise, services may be interrupted due to lack of dependent license configuration items after the board or the device is restarted.
Follow-up Procedure
Before the device restart, the system records the license file that has been activated for the next startup. This ensures that the license file remains identical before and after the device restart.
Precautions
In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
The license file for a single device enables some features to be implemented on a device; the license file for the network requires that a device obtain the permission of some features from a server.
