The advertise vxlan-tunnel mac command enables EVPN to send the MAC routes on the static VXLAN tunnel side to the BGP EVPN peers on the MPLS EVPN side.
The undo advertise vxlan-tunnel mac command restores the default configuration.
By default, EVPN advertises the MAC routes on the static VXLAN tunnel side to the BGP EVPN peers on the VXLAN EVPN side, instead of the BGP EVPN peers on the MPLS EVPN side.
Usage Scenario
By default, EVPN advertises only MAC routes on the static VXLAN tunnel side to BGP EVPN peers on the VXLAN EVPN side, but not to BGP EVPN peers on the MPLS EVPN side. After the advertise vxlan-tunnel mac command is run, EVPN is enabled to advertise MAC routes learned from the static VXLAN side to BGP EVPN peers on the MPLS EVPN side.
