Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In Option B SRv6 and MPLS interworking scenarios, one BorderLeaf connects to an EVPN L3VPN over SRv6 network on one side, and to a VPNv4/VPNv6 over MPLS network on the other side. You can run the apply segment-routing ipv6 best-effort command to configure EVPN-side public network routes to recurse to locator routes based on the carried VPN SID so that traffic from the VPNv4/VPNv6 side to the EVPN side is forwarded through SRv6 BE.

Precautions

The apply segment-routing ipv6 best-effort command applies only to the BGP-EVPN address family. That is, after the apply segment-routing ipv6 best-effort command is run in the tunnel selector view, the tunnel selector can be used only in the BGP-EVPN address family view.

Example

# Enable route iteration based on the SID attribute carried in routes in the tunnel selector view.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] tunnel-selector ts permit node 10
[*HUAWEI-tunnel-selector] apply segment-routing ipv6 best-effort
