Function

The arp fake timeout command sets the aging expiry time of a fake dynamic Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) entry.

The undo arp-fake expire-time command restores the default aging expiry time of a fake dynamic ARP entry.

The arp-fake penalty-time command sets a penalty interval to suppress dynamic ARP fake entry aging.

The undo arp-fake penalty-time command restores the default penalty interval to suppress dynamic ARP fake entry aging.

By default, the aging expiry time of a fake dynamic ARP entry is 5s.

By default, the penalty interval is set to 5s to suppress dynamic ARP fake entry aging.

Parameters

expire-time expire-time	Specifies the aging expiry time of a fake dynamic ARP entry.	The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 36000 in seconds.
penalty-time penalty-time	Specifies a penalty interval to suppress dynamic ARP fake entry aging.	The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 180, in seconds.

Usage Scenario

If a new aging time is configured for fake ARP entries on an interface, this time takes effect only for newly generated fake ARP entries.
