authentication timeout

Function

The authentication timeout command sets the timeout period for waiting for the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) packets replied by the authentication server.

The undo authentication timeout command restores the default timeout period.

By default, the timeout period for waiting for the EAP packets replied by the authentication server is 30 seconds.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 300, in seconds.

Usage Scenario

The command sets the timeout period for waiting for the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) packets replied by the authentication server, in 802.1X authentication.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Set the timeout period for waiting for the EAP packets replied by the authentication server to 50 seconds in dot1x template 1.
