ip topology enable

Function

The ip topology enable command binds an interface to a specified IPv4 topology.

The undo ip topology enable command unbinds an interface from a specified IPv4 topology.

By default, an interface is bound to an IPv4 base topology.

Format

ip topology topology-name enable

undo ip topology topology-name enable

Usage Scenario

To enable an interface to generate a direct route in a specified IPv4 topology, run the ip topology enable command to bind the interface to the IPv4 topology.

Prerequisites

The topology has been created.

Configuration Impact

After the ip topology command is run, the interface generates a direct route in the specified IPv4 topology.

Precautions

An interface is bound to the base topology by default, and the interface cannot be unbound from or re-bound to the base topology.
