block lns-ip

Function

The block lns-ip command locks a specified LNS IP address.

The undo block lns-ip command unlocks a specified LNS IP address.

By default, no LNS IP address is locked.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

block lns-ip ip-address

undo block lns-ip ip-address

Specifies an LNS IP address to be locked.

The value is in dotted decimal notation.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If the LNS IP address configured using the start l2tp command is incorrect or unavailable, run the block lns-ip command to lock the LNS IP address before deleting it using the start l2tp delete ip command.

Prerequisites

  • An LNS IP address list has been configured using the start l2tp command.
  • Priority-based load balancing for tunnels has been configured using the tunnel priority command in the L2TP group view.

Follow-up Procedure

Run the start l2tp delete ip command in the L2TP group view to delete the locked LNS IP address.

Precautions

A locked LNS IP address cannot be used.

This function takes effect in priority-based load balancing scenarios only.
