ccm-interval

Function

The ccm-interval command sets an interval at which a maintenance association end point (MEP) sends or monitors continuity check messages (CCMs) within an MA.

The undo ccm-interval command restores the default interval.

By default, the interval is 1000 ms.

Format

ccm-interval { 3.3 | 10 | 20 | 30 | 50 | 100 | 1000 | 10000 | 60000 | 600000 }

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Different customers have different requirements for quality of service (QoS) and link quality. Connectivity fault management (CFM) provides different intervals at which CCMs are sent to meet different carriers' requirements. To dynamically adjust the accuracy that CFM monitors link connectivity, configure an interval at which CCMs are sent. The implementation is as follows:

A MEP sends CCMs at a specified interval. After receiving the CCMs, MIPs or RMEPs in the same MA obtain status information carried in the CCMs. If a local MEP does not receive a CCM from an RMEP within a period of 3.5 times the interval at which CCMs are sent, the local MEP considers the link between them faulty.

Prerequisites

AN MD has been created using the cfm md command.

An MA has been created using the ma command.

Precautions

The same interval must be configured on the MEPs in the same MD and MA.

Example

# Set the interval at which the local MEP in MA1 sends or monitors CCMs to 100 ms.
