CFM is one of the point-to-point Ethernet operation, administration and maintenance (OAM) mechanisms, which is used for link monitoring, fault diagnosis, and fault locating.
To configure CFM to monitor a link, run the cfm enable command to enable CFM globally.Configuration Impact
If the CFM is disabled globally on a device using the undo cfm enable command, the device automatically deletes all CFM configurations, including MD, MA, local MEP, MIP, and RMEP configurations.
Precautions
If you are prompted with a message indicating that Global Trotter License (GTL) resources are insufficient, release the used GTL resources or buy new resources from Huawei.
All information about the MD will be deleted if CFM is disabled.
