Function

The oam-bind ingress cfm md ma egress cfm md ma command configures Ethernet CFM on one side to send fault messages to Ethernet CFM on the other side.

The undo oam-bind ingress cfm md ma egress cfm md ma command disables Ethernet CFM on one side from sending fault messages to Ethernet CFM on the other side.

By default, Ethernet CFM on one side is disabled from sending fault messages to Ethernet CFM on the other side.

oam-bind ingress cfm md md-name1 ma ma-name1 egress cfm md md-name2 ma ma-name2

undo oam-bind ingress cfm md md-name1 ma ma-name1 egress cfm md md-name2 ma ma-name2

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
md-name1	Specifies the name of an MD.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?) are not supported.
ma-name1	Specifies the name of an MA.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?), hyphens (-) are not supported. The total length of MA and MD names must be no greater than 44 characters.
md-name2	Specifies the name of another MD.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?) are not supported.
ma-name2	Specifies the name of another MA.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?), hyphens (-) are not supported. The total length of MA and MD names must be no greater than 44 characters.

Usage Scenario

If CFM is configured on two sides of a device, the oam-bind cfm md ma cfm md ma command can be used to associate the CFM modules with each other to enable bidirectional transmission of fault messages between the CFM modules.

Prerequisites

CFM has been configured.
