Function

The oam-bind cfm md ma cfm md ma command enables bidirectional transmission of fault messages between Ethernet CFM modules on both sides.

The undo oam-bind cfm md ma cfm md ma command disables bidirectional transmission of fault messages between Ethernet CFM modules on both sides.

By default, bidirectional transmission of fault messages between Ethernet CFM modules on both sides is disabled.

Format

oam-bind cfm md md-name1 ma ma-name1 cfm md md-name2 ma ma-name2

undo oam-bind cfm md md-name1 ma ma-name1 cfm md md-name2 ma ma-name2

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
md-name1	Specifies the name of an MD.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?) are not supported. When quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.
ma-name1	Specifies the name of an MA.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?), hyphens (-) are not supported. The total length of MA and MD names must be no greater than 44 characters. When quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.
md-name2	Specifies the name of an MD.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?) are not supported. When quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.
ma-name2	Specifies the name of an MA.	The value is a string of 1 to 43 case-sensitive characters. Question marks (?), hyphens (-) are not supported. Usage Scenario

If CFM is configured on two sides of a device, the oam-bind cfm md ma cfm md ma command can be used to associate the CFM modules with each other to enable bidirectional transmission of fault messages between the CFM modules.The two CFM modules can notify each other of faults if there are.

CFM has been configured.
