cfm version

Function

The cfm version command switches the Ethernet CFM versions between IEEE 802.1ag Draft 7 and IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007.

The undo cfm version command restores IEEE 802.1ag Draft 7.

By default, IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007 is used.

Format

cfm version { draft7 | standard }

undo cfm version

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

CFM has multiple versions. Huawei provides two CFM versions: IEEE 802.1ag Draft 7 and IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007. To change a CFM version, run the cfm version command.

Follow-up Procedure

Run the cfm enable command in the system view to enable CFM globally.

Precautions

All devices in the same MD must use the same CFM version. If different CFM versions are used, CFM packets fail to be transmitted between these devices.

Version switching deletes all CFM-related configurations.
