Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In an E-Line scenario, an EVPL instance has been created using the evpl instance command. Devices send EVI AD routes to each other so that each device generates forwarding entries for association between EVPL instances and access-side interfaces, MPLS tunnels, SRv6 tunnels, and EVPL instances. In this way, EVPN VPWS over MPLS/SRv6 leased line services are implemented.

In an E-Line scenario where a VXLAN tunnel is used for user access, a P2P VXLAN tunnel needs to be created to transmit user packets. To terminate a P2P VXLAN tunnel on a PW-VE interface, run the evpl instance vxlan-mode command to create an EVPL instance in VXLAN mode. A P2P VXLAN tunnel is bound to an EVPL instance through a VNI, and the EVPL instance is bound to a PW-VE interface. In this way, the P2P VXLAN tunnel is associated with the PW-VE interface.

Example

# Create an EVPL instance in VXLAN mode with the ID being 2.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] evpl instance 2 vxlan-mode
# Create an EVPL instance with the ID being 1.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] evpl instance 1
