The damp-interface mode tx-off command disables an interface suppressed due to status flapping from sending signals.
The undo damp-interface mode tx-off command cancels the configuration.
By default, an interface suppressed due to status flapping can send signals.

Usage Scenario
To disable an interface suppressed due to status flapping from sending signals, run the damp-interface mode tx-off command. This enables the peer end to know that the local interface is unavailable.
Prerequisites
Status flapping suppression has been enabled on a physical interface using the damp-interface enable command.
Configuration Impact
If the local interface is disabled from sending signals, the peer interface regards it Down.
If the local interface is not suppressed, it can send signals to the peer interface. In this case, the peer interface regards it Up.
