The df-election ac-influence enable command enables the function that the AC status influences designated forwarder (DF) election.
The undo df-election ac-influence enable command disables the function that the AC status influences DF election.
By default, the function that the AC status influences DF election is not enabled.
Usage Scenario
A PE fault or an AC-side link fault triggers DF election. An interface has multiple sub-interfaces. If a sub-interface is Down and other sub-interfaces bound to an EVPN instance are Up, no Ethernet segment (ES) route is generated to trigger DF election. As a result, traffic may fail to be forwarded.
After the function that AC status influences DF election is enabled, the device generates EVI AD routes only when the AC interface is Up. During DF election, a PE checks whether it has received AD routes (including ES AD routes and EVI AD routes) advertised by other PEs. If the PE does not receive AD routes advertised by other PEs, the PE does not participate in DF election. In a dual-homing active-active EVPN VPLS scenario, if multiple sub-interfaces bound to EVPN are configured on a main interface, you are advised to run this command.Precautions
Multiple PEs participating in DF election must support the same election rule. Therefore, the function that the AC status influences DF election must be enabled on multi-homed PEs.
