dhcp-server source

Function

The dhcp-server source command configures the source address of the packets sent by a DHCPv4 server group.

The undo dhcp-server source command restores the default setting.

By default, the source address of the packets sent by a DHCPv4 server group is the IP address of the interface that is connected to the upstream device.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

dhcp-server source { interface { interface-name | interface-type interface-num } | gateway }

Specifies the type of the interface.

Specifies the number of the interface.

Specifies the name of the interface.

gateway

Indicates that the source address of the packets sent by the DHCPv4 server group is the gateway address of the user address pool.

Usage Scenario

Through the dhcp-server source command changes the source address of the packets sent by the DHCPv4 server group.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

Example

# Set the source address of the packets sent by the huawei DHCPv4 server group to the IP address of GE 0/1/1 in the DHCPv4 server group view.
