dhcp check-client-packet loose

Function

The dhcp check-client-packet loose layer2-subscriber dest-ip command configures the device to perform loose check on the destination IP addresses of packets in Layer 2 access. Specifically, the device is allowed to process unicast packets in Layer 2 access.

The undo dhcp check-client-packet loose layer2-subscriber dest-ip command disables loose check on the destination IP addresses of packets in Layer 2 access.

By default, the device does not perform loose check on the destination IP addresses of packets in Layer 2 access.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

By default, the device does not perform loose check on the destination IP addresses of packets in Layer 2 access and discards unicast packets in Layer 2 access. To allow the device to process unicast packets in Layer 2 access, run the dhcp check-client-packet loose layer2-subscriber dest-ip command.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
